NMAT Notification is out!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NMAT notification is out. NMAT is a computer adaptive national level MBA entrance test taken by 75,000 – 80,000 applicants every year. As it is a highly competitive exam in nature, it is essential to start planning how to prepare for NMAT 2021 starting right now.<\/em> A well planned approach is what would keep your head above the water as aspirant and direct you to your dream college, NMIMS Mumbai. Before understanding how to prepare for NMAT, it is important to delve into and understand the NMAT exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NMAT 2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NMAT is a computer based management entrance test conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admissions Council) leading admission to the AICTE approved PGDM programmes at NMIMS, Mumbai, and other highly ranked institutions across the country. NMAT is taken by many domestic as well as international candidates every year. It is conducted in a 75-day window in a flexible mode. Registration for the exam has already begun and will end on Sunday, 21st November,2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NMAT 2021 paper pattern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The NMAT exam is adaptive in nature, which means that the difficulty level of your next question will depend upon on your performance in the previous question. If your answer would be correct, the next question would be of higher difficulty level. If you struggled to find the right answer, the question would be easier than the previous one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no negative marking scheme for the examination. Due to this a candidater has a benefit of attempting the entire examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NMAT by GMAC\u2122 would be an objective type multiple-choice test (There will be no descriptive type questions). The total number of questions, difficulty levels, and the time limit for each of the sections is decided beforehand and are the same regardless of when and where the test is conducted. Candidates have a choice of selecting the order or sequence of the test sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Language Skills : Reading Comprehension<\/a>, Vocabulary, and Grammar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Quantitative Skills : Arithmetic<\/a>, Algebra,<\/a> Geometry<\/a>, Mensuration<\/a>, Modern Math<\/a> and Data interpretation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Logical Reasoning: Verbal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NMAT Breaking News<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Candidate can register and appear for Main or Reapply examination. A candidate is allowed a maximum of 3 attempts for NMAT. But, but, but NMIMS will accept candidates from the main examination only.<\/em><\/strong> Candidates qualifying the cut off based on reapplication examination scores will not be part of the 2nd stage of selection process. Retake\/Reapplication scores will not considered for further selection process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which means only the first attempt <\/em><\/strong>will be considered by NMIMS. <\/em><\/strong>Now you can take the 2nd attempt and 3rd attempt for other colleges if you wish to, but for NMIMS the only thing that matters is your 1st attempt.<\/em><\/strong> Which means for all practical purposes you have ONE DATE<\/em><\/strong> for the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since NMAT allows you to take the test across a window period – October, November, and December, this time you would have to sit and choose carefully,<\/em> what is that date.<\/em> Please do note this, DO NOT randomly take the first test because you want to know about the test<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tips to prepare for NMAT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before beginning your preparation, the first thing that you should do is go through the exam pattern and the detailed syllabus. Segregate the syllabus into different portions. It is natural for us as candidates to be an expert in solving questions related to one section and be completely unfamiliar with questions related to other topics. When you reach Towards the end of the preparation cycle, try devoting as much time as you can to mock tests. Be in a relaxed state of mind while preparing for the examination through mocks as it is a buildup of your stamina to sit through a 2-hour long examination and focus. Keep a stress-free mind while preparing for NMAT as a stress-free mind works wonders. You would be able to make out which questions you should practice that will yield more marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
