IIM C Selection Criteria for 2022-24 batch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IIM Calcutta selection process<\/a> for the PGP comprises of two stages :<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Shortlisting candidates for WAT\/PI round.<\/li>
  2. Final Selection of candidates post WAT\/PI round<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Shortlisting for Personal Interview and Written Ability Test<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT 2021 score, past academic performance, and other criteria provided below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Stage I : Minimum CAT percentile cut-offs to be considered for PI and WAT process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Stage 1 requirements of securing minimum section-wise and overall percentiles in CAT 2021<\/a> to be considered for short-listing are as per Table 1 below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Candidates securing the above mentioned minimum percentile in CAT 2019 in respective category will only be considered for calculation of their composite score in Stage II (described below). Please note that the actual section-wise and overall percentile of a short-listed candidate may be much higher than the above mentioned criteria as it will depend upon the number of candidates to be called for interview (CFI) in each category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Stage II : Short listing for PI and WAT process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Composite Score is calculated by computing the percentage of marks as detailed in Table 2 and assigning weights to different components as detailed in Table 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Method of allotting points for aggregate percentage secured in Class 10 and Class 12 is based on Table 2 below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Computation of percentages in class 10 and 12<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For computing the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12, the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet\/grade sheet would be considered irrespective of whether the Board considers them for calculation of percentage or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Allocation of weights to different components and methods for deriving composite scores for each category is based on Table 3 below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After deriving the composite scores, composite cut-off are decided in each category for short-listing the candidate in Stage II selection process. The number of candidates to be short-listed for PI and WAT process would be the sole discretion of the Institute depending upon the batch size of the in-coming batch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Stage III : Criteria for Final Selection for the MBA program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The composite score for final selection is derived as per the criterion based on Table 4. The corresponding weights against each parameter is listed in Table 4 which are used for preparation of category-wise merit list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For work experience, a maximum of eight points will be awarded based on the length of service (in completed months) as on January 31, 2022 (Please refer Table 5 below). However, only managerial work experience after completion of bachelor\u2019s degree will be considered. Training\/Project work\/work done as an integral part of curricular requirement will not be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The final selection list will be based on merit in each category; minimum eligibility in any of the above mentioned stages or criteria would not automatically qualify the candidate for admission into IIM Calcutta.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
