The MBA entrance exam season is upon us and with various exams and B-schools opening up their registrations, it gets increasingly difficult for students to stay on top of everything. We at 2IIM would like to help makes this process a little easier for you. This blog is meant to be a one-stop destination for aspirants to stay on top of the main MBA entrance exams and B-school application deadlines. It’s critical that you keep a close track of these important deadlines and register\/apply well in advance. Please bookmark this page and keep revisiting it often as we will be updating it on a regular basis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT<\/strong> – Please note that you have to register for an entrance exam AND apply to many B-schools separately.<\/strong><\/span> Every year, several students make the big mistake of registering for an entrance exam but not applying separately to their desired B-schools. As a result, they lose out on admissions and once a B-school application deadline has passed, nothing can be done about it. PLEASE don’t make this mistake!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CAT-2023 registrations are finally open! We have also compiled a list of other exams you should be on the lookout for. CAT is the great-grandmother of all entrance exams but other exams can also get you into some fantastic B-schools. We strongly recommend attempting multiple exams and keeping your options open. *CUET (PG)<\/strong> is the entrance exam for TISS courses this year.
*TISSNET<\/strong> entrance exam has been cancelled. TISS will consider CUET (PG) scores for their 24-26 batch.
*IIFT<\/strong> will consider CAT scores for admissions to the 24-26 batch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Symbiosis Institutes (SIBM, SCMHRD etc.) – IMPORTANT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While registering for SNAP, you will need to select the institutes\/programs that you are interested in and pay a separate fee for each program that you wish to apply to, and register for it separately.<\/strong> If you do not pay a separate fee for each program and do not register for it separately then you will NOT be eligible<\/strong><\/mark> for admission into that program.

Note that each institute\/program has its own separate deadline for registration which is separate from the SNAP exam registration deadline. Plea<\/mark>se go to each institute’s individual page through the links listed HERE<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> and monitor those deadlines.

If you want to avoid any problems, please register for the individual programs and pay for them immediately after paying the SNAP exam registration fee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*IIM Mumbai<\/mark><\/strong>, (formerly NITIE<\/strong>) has changed its eligibility criteria. Now candidates holding any Bachelor’s degree can apply for its flagship MBA program. Final year students can also apply, provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria. Please visit the link above for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*NMIMS<\/mark><\/strong> requires you to send in your B-school application before<\/strong> your scheduled date of the NMAT exam for your candidature to be accepted. Please check their admission handout<\/a> for more details. (Important)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*MDI<\/mark><\/strong> For the 24-26 batch, Indian candidates CANNOT apply on the basis of their GMAT score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*IMT<\/mark><\/strong> accepts CMAT for Nagpur and Hyderabad Campus only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B-Schools with their Own Entrance Exams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The following B-schools have their own entrance exams and you do not<\/strong> need to register for them separately. (Note the exceptions for IIMs below)<\/strong>. You will need to register for their entrance exam and during the registration process, you will need to select\/apply to the B-schools that you are interested in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IIMs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While registering for CAT, you will need to select the IIMs that you are interested in. We highly recommend choosing ALL<\/strong> IIMs at the stage of registration. Every year, we see students who are very selective in their choices during registration only to regret later.<\/strong> We also recommend selecting all programs, since there will be time to choose later unless you are absolutely sure you do not want to opt for a particular program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

IIM Exceptions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are some IIMs that require SEPARATE applications –\u00a0IIM Rohtak, IIM Amritsar, IIM Vishakhapatnam<\/strong>, IIM Mumbai<\/strong>\u00a0(we will keep updating this list).
