Start your Quant prep with Arithmetic. In recent years, Arithmetic has been given huge importance in the CAT exam. Also don\u2019t jump into starting your CAT Quant prep with tough ideas like Number theory or Permutation Probability. Why do I say this?<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) Those who want the high of solving super tough questions are abundant in every forum out there. They will solve the sh*t out of any tough question. You might call them junkies.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

b) These topics are not tested extensively. You can reasonably score north of 99th<\/sup> percentile without being a master in these two topics.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time you look at someone who seems to be posting an answer even before you can finish reading the question, go back to step 1 (of course I am talking about breathing) and then tell yourself, that person is a junkie and you don\u2019t have to compete with that person for your CAT prep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As much as it sounds counter-intuitive, the more you go into a bubble and prepare without any external influences, the more you can implement step 2 as well (thinking\/imagining that Quant is tough).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
