IIM Rohtak IPMAT – the D-day is 100 days away. The countdown that ticks T minus 100 will start from today. Just as an obvious fact, the examination is going to be held on 12 June. Given this timeline, there are certain things you must definitely do hereon, and other aspects that you might want to stay away from at any cost. In this article, let us see what these are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 100-day run towards IIM Rohtak IPMAT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are different aspects of your IPMAT preparation that you might want to focus on from today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Learn and revise<\/li>
  2. Practice and take mocks<\/li>
  3. Fill gaps<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Now before we jump into each of these aspects, it is important to recognize that quite a bunch of aspirants, if not all of them, will have their Board examinations coming up and lasting until the end of May or the beginning of June. This additional layer makes it slightly complicated when it comes to juggling between the IIM Rohtak IPMAT preparation<\/a> and the Board examination preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Now that we have acknowledged it, let us see how you can still carve out a good preparation plan for the next 100 days, covering those three aspects that have been mentioned earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Learn and revise for the IIM Rohtak IPMAT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The learning itself consists of two parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Understanding the concepts<\/li>
    2. Getting to know the pattern of the examination and gearing up to be exam-ready.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Point #2 comes first. Before even jumping the gun and starting to solve questions in Quant<\/a>, Verbal<\/a> and Logical Reasoning<\/a> sections, have a sense of what the actual IIM Rohtak IPMAT paper will look like. Check out the past papers<\/a> for the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once you have a basic idea of the number of questions, the kinds of questions and the levels of difficulty of the paper, you can start preparing, by learning the concepts. This will help you gauge the amount of time you can spend on a particular topic, and also provide you a sense of where you stand as opposed to the way forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      It is a good idea to take one mock to just get a feel for how the IIM Rohtak IPMAT examination looks like\/would look like. Reserving one past year paper to be taken as a mock would be a good strategy as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Practise and take mocks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Obviously, taking mocks is not going to be part of your preparation mix at this point, as it is clearly evident that you also have your Board examinations starting soon. So, keep practising as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The ideal preparation mix on a day-to-day basis should cover different aspects for each of the sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Read an article (from the Bharath’s Reading List<\/a>, of course) or the newspaper daily<\/li>
      2. Solve Quant<\/a> questions on a particular topic<\/li>
      3. Go for a few Logical Reasoning<\/a> puzzle sets<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        The mocks come into the picture after your Board examinations get over. Until then, keep practising and revising a lot. While doing this, keep in mind the level of difficuly of questions. There is absolutely no point in trying to solve a diabolically difficult question or 100 mundane questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        General tip<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        Quant section is usually the chunk where most aspirants spend the majority of their preparation time on. The trensds from the past year IIM Rohtak IPMAT papers suggest that Arithmetic section comprises nearly half of the Quant section<\/strong>. So, focus on getting stronger and stronger in topics such as Percentages, Profit and Loss, Averages, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Speed Time Distance, Mixtures and Alligations, Ratio and Proportions, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
