IPMs <\/strong>or Integrated Programmes in Management<\/strong> are steadily gaining momentum in both the B-School world and the business world. The need for ‘trained managerial talent<\/em>‘ is addressed through an IPM where candidates are prepared, from a ‘foundational level, for taking up leadership positions in corporates\/government organizations<\/em>‘. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IIM Rohtak and IIM Indore already have their own version of an IPM. Following suit, IIM Bodh Gaya is launching its own IPM from the academic year of 2021 called IIM BG-IPM 2021-26<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us now dive into the details that have been released about the IPM offered by IIM Bodh Gaya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Programme Overview <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, an IPM involves a BBA<\/strong><\/em> or ‘Bachelor of Business Management<\/em>‘ degree and an MBA<\/strong> or ‘Master of Business Management<\/em>‘ degree. This is what IIM Bodh Gaya is offering, taking a leaf out of the books of IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, once accepted, one can choose to leave upon completion of their BBA degree (3 years). Those who stay will go through the MBA degree (2 years) and complete the IPM (5 years in total). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fees: <\/strong>For the first 3 years of the IPM, including the hostel fees, the fees will be 4.5 Lakhs per year, leading to a total of 13.5 lakhs. This is excluding the mess charges that is set by IIM Bodh Gaya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tentative fee for the PGP Programme of the last 2 years is set at 7.5 lakhs per year, leading to a total of 15 lakhs. Students who choose to opt for international immersion will have to pay the applicable fee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total the fees for the IIM BG-IPM 2021-26, excluding the mess charges and the aforementioned international immersion fee, is set at 28.5 lakhs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Criteria for IIM BG-IPM 2021-26<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Age:<\/strong> You should have been born on or after August 1, 2001<\/em>. There is a relaxation of 5 years (August 1, 1996<\/em>) for candidates belonging to the SC\/ST\/PwD category, so take note of that if it is applicable to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum % of marks:<\/strong> As a candidate, you should have a minimum of 60%<\/em> in Standard X\/SSC (in or before 2017) and Standard XII\/HSC (2019-2021) or other equivalent examinations. If you belong to the SC\/ST\/PWD category, the minimum % of marks is 55%.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bear in mind that candidates from various streams such as arts\/sciences\/commerce or equivalent are eligible for the program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/em> Make sure you calculate the conversions from marks\/grade points to percentages or aggregates properly (as specified in the application). Have the required certificates such as your 10th and 12th certificates in hand during the time of registration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seats: <\/strong>The intake for IIM BG-IPM 2021-26 batch as stipulated by IIM Bodh Gaya is 50 seats<\/strong>, with 10 seats<\/em> reserved for female candidates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/em> ‘Reservation would be applicable as per GoI regulations after meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IIM BG-IPM Course Structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tentative Structure for the first 3 years of the IPM as provided by IIM Bodh Gaya<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

According to the official website of IM Bodh Gaya, the first 3 years<\/strong> of the IPM would be based on the semester system<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the 6th semester of the IPM, students will be provided with options to select sector-specific specializations. Upon the completion of the 6th semester, the IPM will evolve into MBA Course Structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last 2 years<\/strong> are planned to be based on the current MBA Course Structure i.e. the trimester system. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission to IIM BG-IPM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The admission to the programme is set to be through a common admission test – JIPMAT – and a personal interview. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The marks obtained in the entrance test and the personal interview will be computed in order to generate a final merit list<\/strong> in the following ratio<\/em>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrance Test\/IPMAT: 70% ; Personal Interview: 30%<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
