Explanatory Answer

Let’s imagine a scenario where the student scores all the questions correctly.
The maximum possible score is \( 2 \times 10 + 3 \times 10 + 5 \times 10 = 100 \).
For each mistake/non-attempt, you lose 2 + 0.5 marks. In the second and third sections, you lose 3 and 5 marks respectively.

Rank
Score
1
100 - 0 = 100
2
100 - 2.5 = 97.5
3
100 - 3 = 97
4
100 - 5 = 95
5
100 - 5.5 = 94.5
6
100 - 6 = 94

The answer is '94'

Choice B is the correct answer.
