CAT 2022 Question Paper | Quant Slot 2

CAT 2022 Quant was dominated by Arithmetic followed by Algebra. In Arithmetic, the questions were dominated by topics like Speed-time-distance, Mixture and Alligations. This year, there was a surprise. The questions from Geometry were relatively on the lower side as compared to the previous years. There were 8 TITA Qs this year. Overall this section was at a medium level of difficulty.

Let the half volume of each container be 80 cc.
Why 80cc though? Why not some other value?
We know that the process of shifting half volumes is happening three times overall.
\( \left( \frac { 1 } { 2 } \right) ^ { 3 } = \frac { 1 } { 8 } \).
So it would be wise to assume the initial volume to be some multiple of 8 so that we don’t have to deal with fractions later on.


The ratio of Sugar Syrup to Water in the second container is 5 : 6.

The answer is '5 : 6'

Choice A is the correct answer.
