Question 29 : The sentences given below, when properly sequenced, form a coherent paragraph. Each sentence is labelled with a number. Decide on the most logical order and enter the sequence of numbers in the space provided.
A. Mental illness continues to struggle for recognition as a significant contributor to poor health in spite of the existence of the Mental Healthcare Act 2017
B. The data reveals that an estimated one in seven Indians - or 197 million persons suffered from mental disorders, at varying degrees of severity, in 2017.
C. There is always more to human health than meets the eye.
D. This is particularly important in the Indian cultural and political context, where the outward appearance of physical well-being is often considered the only visible marker of overall health.
There are two possibilities for the opening sentence of the paragraph-- A and C. So, let us look at how the ideas in the sentences link to each other. CD is a link. D adds to the point made in C, considering the Indian context. AB is also a link: sentence A talks about mental illness not being recognized as a significant contributor to poor heath and B follows this up with data. CDAB is a better order than ABCD as C offers a more general start to the paragraph than A. So, CDAB is the correct order.
