Question 23 : Statement: The average family income in the metros has increased today as compared to earlier,as in most families these days husbands and wives both are working. Which of the following inferences cannot be drawn from the above statement?
The passage mentions that husbands and wives both are working "these days". It can inferred that this was not the case earlier, which means option B can be inferred. "… increased today as compared to earlier" gives away the fact that income level was lower earlier. Hence, option C can be inferred.
Option D is a probability which can be inferred.
Option A is the only one the passage does not talk about, as there is no mention of incomes of husbands and wives separately. Hence, the right answer choice is option A.
