BA in FM (3 yrs) + MBA (2 yrs) = IPM (5 yrs)
At the end of the first three years, you get a Bachelor of Arts with a specialisation in Foundations of Management.
You get directly into IIM Indore's MBA program, at this stage and you get an MBA degree from IIM Indore once you're done with the last 2 years.
After 3 years of intensive study of foundational disciplines, the IPM students train as managers along with the students of the Institute’s 2-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), undertaking the same course package in management studies in years 4 and 5.
IPM students are required to complete a social internship at the end of year 2, and a business internship between years 4 and 5. This experiential learning inculcates leadership qualities in them and hones their managerial skills further.
IPM Indore Course Work
The first two years syllabus can be broken into three blocks
Math – Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Numerical Methods get covered in depth
Economics – Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics
Humanities and Information Systems – Sociology & Philosophy, plus coding 101
The course is comprehensive and is probably the best combination to get a student geared to do an MBA. The electives in the third year should be able to cover basic accounting and marketing as well. From the point of view of getting geared for doing an MBA, this course is more relevant than either an engineering course or a basic Arts/Science Course.
IIM Indore's IPMAT exam consists of two subjects tested under three separate sections:
1. Quantitative Aptitude (MCQ)
2. Quantitative Aptitude (Short Answer)
3. Verbal Ability (MCQ)
