The minimum number of students that passed in both the subjects, Math and Physics happens when the overlap between the two areas, math and physics, in the venn diagram is minimum.
Plotting the given information in a venn diagram we see,

As we are dealing with percentages, the total of both the subjects would be 100% and so, all the parts of the venn should add up to 100.
Now if we take the overlapping part as ‘x’ and then,
Therefore, 60 - x + x + 68 - x = 100
Or, 128 - x = 100
=> x = 28
Hence 28 is the minimum percentage of students that passed in both the subjects.
