Explanatory Answer

Venn Diagram 2
It is given that 50% of the population can speak exactly one language among Hindi, English, and Tamil. so , A + B + C = 50%
And also given that 40% of the population can speak in at least two of these three languages
So that, P + Q + R + S = 40%
The percentage of the population who cannot speak in any of these three languages =
100% - (A + B + C +  P + Q + R + S) = 100% - 90% = 10%
 The number of people who cannot speak any of these three languages is twice the number of people who can speak all these three languages.
So that, 2S = 10%
S = 5%
25% of the population can speak exactly one language among English and Tamil
So that B + C = 25%
We know A + B + C = 50%
A = 25%
52% of the population can speak Hindi. Hence A + P + Q + S = 52%
25% + P + Q + 5% = 52%
P + Q = 22%
The percentage of the population who can speak Hindi and in exactly one more language among English and Tamil = P + Q
Therefore the correct answer is 22%

The answer is '22%'

Choice A is the correct answer.
