let \( a = 3 x + 2 y ; b = 2 x - 5 y \)
Let's try to write x in terms of a and b
\( 5 a + 2 b = 15 x + 10 y + 4 x - 10 y = 19 x \)
\( 19 x = 5 a + 2 b \)
\( f ( 3 x + 2 y , 2 x - 5 y ) = 19 x \)
\( \therefore f ( a , b ) = 5 a + 2 b \)
\( f ( x , 2 x ) = 5 x + 4 x = 9 x = 27 \)
\( \Rightarrow x = 3 \)
