JIPMAT 2021 – some details of the entrance examination for admission into the Integrated Program in Management at IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu for the Class of 2021-26 have been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 1st April, 2021. While the initial announcements along these lines had been put up officially on IIM Bodh Gaya’s website, further details about the selection criteria and timeline have now come out. IIM Bodh Gaya IPM team had conducted an official press conference at 11 am on 24th March (Wednesday) to give out details along these lines as well.
JIPMAT 2021 and the selection criteria of IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu
As with any other IIM that has announced its own IPM, there are three parameters that will decide the admission of a candidate here as well.
What are these three parameters?
Right, that is what we are getting at now. The three parameters are as follows:
- 10th standard Board examination scores
- 12th standard Board examination scores
- JIPMAT 2021 (Joint Integrated Program for Management Admission Test) score
Okay, that is clear. Are there any further specifications?
Yes, there are. The candidates must have appeared for their 10th grade (or equivalent) examination in the year 2017 or later. Similarly, they must have written their 12th grade (or equivalent) examination in 2019 or 2020. Any candidate who is going to write the 12th grade examinations in 2021 (in the next couple months, that is) can also apply.
Further, the candidates must score/must have scored at least 60% of the total marks in both the examinations mentioned above.
Any relaxations?
There is a 5% leeway for the candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwD and transgender communities/categories. This means that they should score/should have scored 55% of the total marks in both the examinations.
Sidenote: IIM Ranchi has announced that, for its IPM Program, it would consider the score of SAT or that of IIM Indore’s IPMAT, while IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak have their own IPMAT examinations.
