The IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Admission Test) is the entrance examination to write should you wish to acquire an admission in any of the three campuses of IIFT. The National Testing Agency conducts the IIFT and they have released the dates for the IIFT 2021 registration (bear in mind that these dates are subject to changes).
This 2 hour, computer-based exam is usually conducted within a week of the CAT but this year, the pandemic has shifted the dates considerably. Read on to find out the important dates and details regarding the IIFT and their MBA (IB).

How is the IIFT different from CAT?
Both the exams are equally challenging in their own way. The main difference lies within their exam patterns. IIFT is more speed-based while CAT focusses more on critical thinking.

IIFT MBA (IB) – A Common misconception
The most common misconception with the IIFT MBA (IB) is that only those who are looking for international jobs with emphasis on IB can apply for this program. Let us clarify this.
You can become an HR executive, get into sales or marketing, or even get into Fintech after your MBA (IB) from IIFT. You can study these subjects within your IIFT MBA (the subjects will incline towards international contexts) and get jobs locally as well.
Just because it says International Business (IB) on their MBA Program, it does not mean you should prepare yourself only for International jobs or positions.
On that note, this may be the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade but you do not need to prepare yourself to pursue only trading. It is still an MBA, and there are loads of options that an IIFT MBA will provide.
So, if you feel like applying for this exam and going for it, don’t forget to go back to the IIFT 2021 important dates section and keeping an eye on them. Register as early as you can!
