The whole ordeal of CAT 2023 is over now, or so we thought. With CAT 2023 results out, the whole game shifts to shortlists, GDPI Prep and in many cases, low sectional percentiles. It is one of the most unfortunate things to befall a candidate with a decent CAT Overall Score. “If only that one section had gone differently, it would be something else altogether!” It is natural, after all. We are here to tell you that this isn’t the end. There are a bunch of wonderful B-schools that require no sectional cutoff for their programmes. Calm yourself and read on! 🙂
First Things First
CAT 2023 is over! You no longer have the obligation of sitting every day for CAT prep solving some obscure number theory questions or solving an impossibly tough and time-consuming DILR set. No more weekly mocks. More time to do the things you like! Probably, binge-watching all the movies and TV series you’ve been stacking up.
Of course, all of this is applicable for the people who have done their CAT well (Ahem…Phaad di CAT ki) and are expecting a wonderful score and will probably have a bunch of good calls from the top B-schools.
Low Sectional Percentiles…
It is heartbreaking…… To think about the time you invested in CAT prep! You are probably thinking one of these two things-
- I have no hope of getting into a b-school this year, I should probably reappear for CAT 2024.
- I cannot sit for another year, the anxiety will kill me. I must get into a B-school this year!
It is a personal decision and what you choose will depend on your career goals.
However, if you belong to the second category, you are probably wondering about where to apply? Which B-schools will accept my scores? Read on, for we have come up with a comprehensive list of B-schools that will help you in choosing the best school for you!

All the best for OMETs! Remember, an MBA is not the ultimate goal in life. Forgive my mawkishness, but what matters in the end is how we choose to respond to adversity and success. That is where our character lies.
