MDI Gurgaon admission policy 2022

October 6, 2021 By Rajesh [wtr-time]

In an already eventful year, the admission announcement from MDI Gurgaon comes just at the right time. The others in the fray are XAT 2022, SNAP 2021, NMAT 2021, SPJIMR 2021 admission. Of course this list will be incomplete without CAT Media release.

What are the details of the MDI Gurgaon announcement? What is the deadline to apply? Which examinations’ scores would be considered for admissions? Let’s get all of these answered!

I have so many questions

The programmes offered by MDI

There are four different programmes for which registrations have commenced.

  • PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management)
  • PGDM – HRM (Human Resources Management)
  • PGDM – IB (International Business)

The deadlines

The deadlines!

The application window for all the four programmes mentioned above has begun on 21st September 2020.

Starting date for MDI Online application processTuesday, September 21, 2021
Closing date for MDI Online application processFriday, November 26, 2021

What are the qualifying examination?

Shortlisting of candidates for the selection process will be done on the basis of the details provided in the application form and their CAT or GMAT scores. Yes, you have heard it right. From this year MDI will be accepting GMAT scores along with CAT score for admission to their 2 year full time MBA programmes.

PGDMCAT/GMAT
PGDM – HRMCAT/GMAT
PGDM – IBCAT/GMAT

Eligibility criteria for the programmes

1. PGDM & PGDM – HRM

The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both Class 10 and 12. Further, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

The CGPA to percentage (and vice-versa) conversion and confusion

As we already mentioned in our CAT ready reckoner blog, every institution/University will have a different calculation to convert the percentage to CGPA. It is always prudent, even if you have the slightest of confusions, to confirm with the respective college’s administration before entering the details in any application form.

2. PGDM – IB

This programme requires a slightly different eligibility criteria as opposed to those for the PGDM and PGDM – HRM programmes.

What is the difference?

It's different!

In addition to the criteria mentioned for the PGDM and PGDM – HRM applicants, the following are other criteria that the candidates applying to the IB programme are expected to satisfy the following:

  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree that spans/spanned a minimum of 4 years.
  • The candidates must have a minimum of one year post- qualification work experience, as on 31 December 2021.

Best wishes for CAT!!

The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight,
but they, while their companions slept,
were toiling upward in the night.
