IIM Shortlists 2019
ONE STORM HAS PASSED.
IIM Shortlists for CAT 2019 have started coming out, Now that the CAT 2019 results are out. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode (Stage 1) shortlists are already out, the rest should also release theirs in the upcoming days/weeks.
Selection Criteria
The shortlists are rolled out based on the respective institutes’ selection criteria. Parameters like CAT score, 10th Marks, 12th Marks, UG Marks, Work Experience, Academic and Gender Diversity are considered to calculate composite scores. Students clearing certain cut-off composite score will receive a call.
What Next?
The selected students are expected to fill application forms (for each institute) and submit them before a stipulated deadline to get their WAT-PI date and location. Failing to do so will result in disqualification of candidature for further process.

PREPARE TO FACE ANOTHER.
It is the right time for students with shortlists to start preparing for the WAT-PI process. Start with yourself, prepare answers about yourself. Few eternal questions like why MBA?, tell me about yourself, short term and long term career goals are always worth preparing for. If you are a working professional, know everything about what you do. Freshers, prepare really well for academics related questions.

By the time of selection next year my experience will be close to 4 years .They usually say placement is a problem with that much experience.
It is not. Who says that? Everyone? Everyone is not a metric. Some companies come to pick only Freshers, which anywhichway you are not going to be eligible. I know many who got fantastic jobs with 5 years of work ex in an MBA
